Bob always had a senior “gotcha” time, and you were always waiting for it and looking over your shoulder. My senior year I was recovering from leg surgery, but that didn’t stop Bob! On our way out of practice, there was a huge mud pit. Bob snuck up behind me, picked me up and threw me in the pit!

I played volleyball in high school, but in my senior year Bob convinced the VB coach to let me run in some cross country races. (I never trained for cross country). I was soon recruited to run cross country and track for Ashland University. Cross country quickly became my favorite of the two! Bob drove overnight from Ohio to Missouri to watch me run in the National meet in college. He followed my career, and whenever I came home, I always stopped by to visit. He made a video tape of all our races in high school and we would watch the tape. I wish more than anything to have that tape!!
